CCTV SIA Licence Compliance in the Public Domain
We would always advise anyone to check that the Security Company and the person working for the company has a CCTV Licence to use in the public domain as well as a minimum Door Supervision Licence this is a legal requirement in law and for the safety of customers the security must provide for protecting people, property and possessions and be fully licenced, especially if using a body cam to view must have also a CCTV Licence as well as a Security Guarding or Door supervisors SIA licence.

Are you Licenced and Qualified?
Ci5 Management hold SIA Licences in CCTV, Close Protection & Door Supervision with the appropriate qualifications alongside Security Management, Data Protection 1998, Conflict Management, and Degree Level Science Information Technology.
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is responsible for regulating the private security industry. An SIA licence is required if you undertake the licensable activities of a door supervisor. Unless your employer or company has been given an exemption under Section 4(4) of the Private Security Industry Act 2001, it is a criminal offence to undertake the licensable activities of a door supervisor without an SIA license. Conformity with the recommendations in BS 7960 can demonstrate compliance with the SIA’s licence requirements.
